Writing feature articles (typically about scientists and research) for publications like the Carolina Alumni Review and Carolina Arts & Sciences Magazine
Teaching online courses for the Association of Science Communicators
Filming and producing videos about biomedical research in North Carolina
Speaking to college students (and other groups) about my career path, and mentoring folks who want to do similar work in science communications
Visiting friends and colleagues across the country, and going hiking and camping as often as possible
