While I specialize in documenting oceanographic research expeditions, I regularly engage in other projects related to science communications and adventurous pursuits.
When I’m not at sea, you can find me:
Teaching online courses for the Association of Science Communicators (ASC) and leading the ASC Mentorship Program
Spending a lot of time (and climbing a lot of volcanoes) in Oregon and Washington
Speaking to high school and college students about my career path, and giving presentations at ocean research institutions about effective science communication
Visiting friends and colleagues across the country, and going hiking and camping as often as possible
